Fencing is one of the oldest and safest sport. It counts as one of the four sports held since the first modern Olympic Games (1896). It carries the tradition of royalty, respect and civility which evolved from nobility; therefore, fencing is also known as the sport of kings. Fencing is mentally and physically challenging and demanding. Some would also call it a human chess game.

At Spadassin Fencing Club, we offer fencing training and recreation in Claremont, California. Children can start as young as 7 years old. We focus our coaching on two philosophical ideals. First, it must be enjoyable for the students. This will not only motivate them for the long term but also to overcome inevitable growth plateaus. Second, to teach proper fencing techniques to build solid foundation. With that, explosive growth can be attained along with better learning experience and enjoyment. We deal with all three fencing weapons: Foil, Epee, and Sabre. Click here to download US Fencing's "Parent/Spectator Guide".
